Supply List

  • Black Cardstock or Construction Paper
  • Tissue Paper in a Variety of Colors
  • Glue Stick

  • Small Scissors (Embroidery scissors work well)

  1. Trace or draw your pattern onto the black cardstock or construction paper.
  2. Use a pair of scissors to cut out the holes in your pattern that will be filled with "stained glass."
  3. Cut out and glue small pieces of tissue paper to fill in the "stained glass holes." Try not to overlap the tissue paper so that the colors won't get distorted when the light shines through. Continue gluing pieces until all the holes have been filled.
  4. Fold a piece of black paper in half. This will create your card. Cut out a border on the front of the card and mount your stained glass window inside it.
