Make Your Own Teething Biscuits

My baby is in that seemingly endless teething stage and we have been going through teething biscuits like crazy.  Those Gerber cookies get expensive and I'd rather give my baby a little healthier snack so I went searching for recipes.  I found a recipe on this website made a few changes and they came out so great that I wanted to share.  Let me know what you think!

Teething Biscuit Recipe

2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup applesauce
2 eggs
1 cup ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup whole wheat flour (or other flour of your choice)
1 cup white whole wheat flour (or other flour of your choice)
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.  Pour into a greased bread pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for about one hour until toothpick comes out clean.

Allow loaf to cool until you can safely handle it and then cut into sticks.  Arrange sticks on a cookie sheet and bake at 175 degrees for about an hour until sticks are hard and crunchy.

Store in a tightly sealed container.  You can also freeze these for later use.
